About Us

Founded in 2019, Paddock Tree Nutraceuticals began with a simple goal: to create a better way to feed horses from the very beginning.

Our flagship product, Paddock Tree Equine Concentrate, was originally formulated for a Standardbred broodmare named Now and Again. I wanted to do everything possible to support the development of a healthy foal — one with the foundation to race competitively and, just as importantly, enjoy a long and fulfilling career.

At the time, conventional feed manufacturers in Ontario didn't have anything that fit the bill. So we set out to create it.

The goal was a versatile, nutrient-dense concentrate that could support a mare throughout gestation and lactation, be safely introduced as her foal began exploring solid feed, and continue to provide balanced nutrition throughout growth, training and performance.

Creating a concentrate rather than a traditional complete feed gave us something even more valuable: flexibility.

By adjusting the amount of concentrate and combining it with appropriate sources of fibre and fat, feeding programs can be tailored to the individual horse and the stage of life they are in. It also allowed us to focus on the ingredients that serve a nutritional purpose.

No fillers. No unnecessary ingredients. Just purposeful nutrition.

What began as a feed formulated for one mare and one foal quickly grew through word of mouth. It became clear that I wasn't the only owner looking for a simple, effective approach to supporting healthy development and performance. Paddock Tree Equine Concentrate began finding its way into the programs of breeders, trainers and owners of competitive horses, many of whom continue to rely on it today.

Instead, Paddock Tree continues to identify nutritional needs within the equine industry where we believe there is an opportunity to do something better: thoughtfully formulated products, quality ingredients and a focus on efficacy over excess.

As our product line grows, that philosophy remains the same.

Simple. Purposeful. Effective.

We look forward to being part of your horses' journey—from the paddock to the racetrack and everywhere in between.

Cheers,
The Paddock Tree Team
